1,941 Sunsets, and a New Chapter π
A weekly show on neuroscience, nervous system regulation, and living vibrantly alcohol-free.
Launching Wednesday 4/29 on YouTube
Iβm thrilled to announce that on Wednesday, April 29th, my new show Sunsets Are The New Happy Hourβ’ launches on YouTube! π π
It's a weekly space where we explore neuroscience and nervous system regulation, for anyone navigating gray area drinking, anxiety, burnout, or any habit that's quietly dimming their light.
Today, I am celebrating 1,941 alcohol-free days. More than 5 years ago, I started #ChasingSunsets π πββοΈ instead of my next cocktail. That single decision led me to the best version of me. Happier. Healthier. Anxiety-free. And now sharing what I've learned with people walking the same path.
Six years ago, I couldn't have pictured this moment. The version of me from that time needed someone to tell her: you're not broken, your nervous system is doing exactly what it was wired to do, and there's another way.
It's the show I would have wanted back then. Five plus years of wisdom, finally finding its voice. And I'm loving every minute.
On set with TEDx speaker, author, and relationship coach Melissa Nanavati.
What you can expect π
This is the culmination of five plus years of healing, nervous system work, and finding my way back to myself. Honest, science-grounded conversations told the way I'd tell a close friend across the kitchen table.
π Gray Area Drinking. The wide spectrum between now-and-again drinking and "rock bottom," and why the old "normie" or "alcoholic" binary was always a lie. (Spoiler: there's no safe amount of drinking.)
π§ How I Used Neuroscience to Rewire My Brain. Neuroplasticity, the logical brain versus the animal brain, and the three-step framework I use with my clients.
πΆββοΈ Why Walking Is So Underrated for Your Brain. Including a 2025 Lancet Public Health review that linked 7,000 daily steps to a 47% lower risk of dying from any cause and a 38% lower risk of dementia.
π It's Not Your Fault. But It Is Your Responsibility. Connecting the nervous system you were handed in childhood to the choices that feel hard at 5 p.m.
π· Women and Alcohol. Why our bodies were never on an equal playing field, and what an entire industry sold us as self-care.
π A conversation with Melissa Nanavati. Why high-performing women drink, what it's costing their relationships, and the life waiting on the other side.
ποΈ A conversation with Jheri South. On untreated ADHD, dopamine-seeking, and why adults with untreated ADHD are 3 to 4 times more likely to develop a substance use issue.

One small gift before you go β¨
If your body feels wired-but-tired by the end of the day. If you've noticed the urge to reach for something, anything, to take the edge off. If you've wondered why calm feels so hard to come by. Your nervous system is doing exactly what it was wired to do. And it can be taught something new.
Try this with me:
Breathe in for two. Breathe out for four. Or in for three, out for six.
A longer exhale activates your vagus nerve and signals to your nervous system that you are safe. Simple physiology, available to you anytime. Try it the next time you feel the pull, and notice what softens.
I cannot wait to share this show with you on April 29th.
As always, I'm rooting for you. π
